Michael Pedersen es un poeta y escritor escocés que actualmente es escritor residente en la Universidad de Edimburgo. Su obra más reciente es The Cat Prince & Other Poems (Little Brown, 2023).
Fue seleccionada para los Forward Prizes for Poetry y ganó el Books are My Bag Readers Award por mejor poesía en 2023. Su debut como escritor fue con Boy Friends, con el que fue nominado para la categoría de obra de no ficción de los Saltire National Book Awards, y también fue elegido para los Sunday Times Critics. Además, ha recibido el John Mather’s Trust Rising Star of Literature y la beca de Robert Louis Stevenson.
Ha colaborado con músicos, cineastas y artistas visuales y su obra ha sido recopilada en antologías de publicaciones como Pan MacMillan y Canongate Books. Artistas como Kae Tempest (artista de Arrebato), Maggie Smith y Jackie Kay han elogiado el trabajo de Pedersen.

Michael Pedersen is a Scottish poet and author, currently a Writer in Residence at the University of Edinburgh. The Cat Prince & Other Poems (Little Brown, 2023) is his most recent work.

He co-run and produced the Neu! Reekie! literary production house from 2011 to 2022, putting on hundreds of award-winning literary events in Scotland and throughout the globe.
